| If you are a diabetic you should pay particular attention
to your feet and take the necessary precautions to prevent foot injuries.
Due to the consequences of neuropathy, daily observation of your feet is
critical. When a diabetic patient takes the necessary preventative foot
care measures he or she can reduce the risk of serious foot conditions
such as:
• Loss of feeling in the feet One of the main preventative measures to make sure that none of the aforementioned happen is to have specially moulded insoles that will give a good foot bed to the foot with less risk of pressure. These can sometimes be fitted into your own footwear, but more often, they are better fitted into good fitting footwear that are made and designed specifically for the diabetic foot. They allow the foot to breathe and let the foot spread properly within the footwear therefore lessening the risk of pressure and ulceration.
